The Billy Gladstone brush represents our modern take on a legendary design first created in 1946 and patented in 1949. After 100 years of very few changes to wire drum brushes since their invention in 1913, we have redesigned and revolutionized this classic concept with a significant twist.
The original Billy Gladstone brush offered drummers 2 different flare sizes extending from either end of the tube. We've re-created this iconic brush with two different diameter wire bundles: our lightest 'Vintage' .012 inch diameter at one end (marked with a white end), and our extreme heavyweight .019 inch wire at the opposing end (marked with a black end). This innovative design allows drummers to alter the sound, feel, and textures by mixing and matching brush combinations.
