Nightmares

The Nightmares are the Monster Hybrid version of the Dreamcatchers Wired — and they don’t hold back.

The same concept, scaled up and hardened. Thinner, more flexible polyrod filaments than the Sandman flare outward like a non-retractable wire brush, spreading wider across the drumhead for a fatter, more enveloping feel on every stroke. Those filaments are compressed by an adjustable hoop made from 7 strands of braided stainless steel wire coated in red nylon — more flexible than the nylon hoop on the Sandman, letting the filaments breathe and react in a different way from a more rigid nylon hoop.

The result is a huge, fat backbeat with clear cymbal definition, playable hoop side up or hoop side down for two distinct sonic characters. The handle is an aluminum tube finished with a taped grip — solid, lightweight, and built for the long haul. At 14 inches, the Nightmares sit in a sweet spot between control and reach.
