Orb-X-45W

The Orb-X is a percussion mallet designed specifically for drummers. Traditional lambs wool tympani mallets unravel and fray with aggressive playing, while solid felt mallets are often too hard and heavy for intricate rhythmic patterns. The Orb-X solves both problems — each mallet head weighs less than half a gram, giving you a level of speed, control, and articulation that no traditional mallet can match.

The Orb-X-45W features a 45mm white mallet head on a black maple drumstick. At 45mm, the head is the largest in the Orb-X range — compressing the least and producing the most contact sound of the three sizes. It delivers a fuller, more present tone with a slightly firmer attack, making it ideal for situations where you need more projection and presence from your mallet work.

Because the Orb-X heads are so lightweight, drummers can execute rhythmic patterns on cymbals that simply weren't practical with tympani mallets. The 45W is the choice for players who want maximum tonal presence while still enjoying the speed and control that only an ultra-light mallet head can provide.
